Taking a break..

This morning I am off on one of my imaginary trips come along if you like. Today I am heading for a private island where it is warm ( not hot or humid) The breeze is blowing softly and the smell of Spring flowers is in the air. Right now I am standing on the white sandy beach, there is not a cloud in sight. Best of all there are no people on the beach because it is very early.
I brought my breakfast with me and a quilt to sit on while I eat. I have a thermos of hot coffee a bagel and cream cheese and fresh fruit, strawberries, black berries, and pineapple. What could be better ??

After I eat and walk up and down the beach in search of shells ( yes, there shells on my beach today.) I will go for a swim.

I see a clump of large trees up head if I am lucky I might see exotic birds or other wild life.

Now it is getting late and time for dinner so, I head to a small cafe I saw on my walk this afternoon. I will have fresh fish, rice and fresh veggies and maybe some more fruit.

It is getting dark now so I start back home. I like to sleep in my own bed ! Did you enjoy the trip ??

I think yesterday's post must have got waterlogged over here - it's only just got to me, along with today's! Could do with a day on a sunny beach...

What a lovely daydream! I only wished I'd read it a little slower, so that it lasted a little longer.

I love to travel and take vacations as often as work allows. Your island sounds lovely, Leslie. But there is no place like home. I too like my own bed and bathroom.

Hi,

I saw your post about your cat on one of my friend's blogs. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. We are owned by five house cats, and they are like our children.

It is very sad when one looses a companion animal.

I hope you have adopted another one. Whenever we have lost a cat, we know it has been given a long, happy life, and its passing makes room for another who otherwise might not live.

Your dream trip sounds like our town.

Keep those dreams alive. There are many roads to travel, if only in your mind.

Very nice trip indeed-wish I was there for real. Sorry I haven't been by in a while-we adopted 2 puppies on Sunday and they have kept me very busy-will do a post soon about them.
How's the chemo angels going? I'm still in contact with my assignment Ted...been sending stuff since July last year-must be doing some good!
Sorry to hear about your kitty...there are many out there that need a good home. None will replace your kitty, but it's funny how a pet can do folks a world of good...think about having a new kitty friend-you'll be happy you did!
xoxo,
Leslie
