Random Thoughts

If you do not hear from me for awhile, a ice storm is on the way and they tell us we may get up to 2 inches of ice and if we do---there goes our power !!
Then I will be alone with my thoughts and sometimes the things I think about or happy, sad or just plain boring like this blog is going to be today. So please don't just turn off your computer. ;*)

My thoughts today or about my former husband of 31 years. He is the best man I have ever known, he was a good Dad, husband, provider and friend. He had only one job for 30 years , and we lived in many places. Hawaii, Okinawa, Korea, Japan and many states. He worked for the goverment, he speaks several languages and he has be interested in Astronomy even before I knew him. He is retired now and owns his own business making telescope mirrors and he is the best mirror maker there is.

We have been divorced for 10 years, we are best friends, we write emails everyday day to each other. I have never loved another man and never will.

Why you ask ?? We just grew apart after the kids left home. Please don't let this happen to you. This is a happy and sad thought for today. I cherish all of my memories.

Stay or or cool for the next few days.

Hugs to all ~~~~

Leslie, that is sad ... But it's nice that you hold onto your happy memories and that you still have a positive relationship, even if it is a different one. Am praying for you in those ice storms...

It's great that you two are still best friends. I'm afraid if I went through a divorce I wouldn't be as gracious. But then perhaps I would be, who knows.

Yes that dreaded ice and snow they say is heading our way also. I hate ice, snow I can get around on that pretty well, but ice is something all together different and can cause the power lines to snap. Then we loose our heat, since we need electric to make the fan run to push the heat out the air ducts. Then with no heat, the pipes can freeze and burst. Time to think of something for supper/dinner, depending on where you live. At our house it's supper time, lunch time at noon, except Sundays, noon meal is dinner and supper time is still supper time. LOL Stay warm, hope that ice doesn't arrive at either of our places.

Thanks Lyn,

I will be fine if we don't lose our power.
Glad you visited today. Stay safe and warm.

I have the same heating as you have and we have a well and we will not even have water if the pump isn't on.
If I have a problem John always helps me. You have to love someone to do that for them. Nice to hear from you. Stay warm, maybe some this will pass us by. Take care. Hugs~~

I do hope you are still keeping warm somehow...I've been looking to see whether you are 'up and running', but do hope you're not having to keep running to keep warm, if you see what I mean? As it's now Friday at my end, things look a bit dire - hope there's a simple explanation. All best wishes, love'n'hugs...

Dear Leslie,
What a sad love story.. I'm so lonely to hear this.. Maybe God has another plan for you.. At least your ex-husband still e-mails you. Maybe later you'll be together again..? Please stay safe. It would be horrifying staying alone in your home alone. Please stay safe my friend.. God bless..
Care, Loida and Family
