Mr. Sandman

I am letting you know that you are not doing a very good job with your "sleeping business." This is a complaint !!!

It is winter and you are not using enough sleep "dust" to let me sleep past 4 A.M. in the morning. I am old and I do not need to be on a schedule, no kids to get off to school, I don't have a job to go to anymore, my chores are done before I go to bed at night ! Are you getting the "Message" yet ? I could go on with this complaint but, would it help ?

Things you may not know: it is still dark at 4 A.M., the birds aren't up yet either, my bed is warm, my rooms are not warm when I get out of bed. Are you getting my "drift ?"

Let me sleep until at least 6 A.M. And I won't report you to your boss !! Or maybe Santa will leave coals in your stocking. This is a threat!

I am sorry to hear of your sleeping problems. I know it's no fun. I could recite a whole bunch of suggestions of natural sleeping "cures". Unfortunately, I have tried them all on children who often have trouble sleeping, all without much success. As bad as it is, lying in bed awake at 4:00 AM, it is also no fun being VERY able to sleep, except for a little voice that comes by your bed every 15 minutes to let you know that they are not asleep yet :/.
My v. word is thingsth- Mr. Blogger has developed a lisp.
Theseth are NOT a few of my favorite thingsth.
Sending peaceful sleep wishes your way.

I share you pain. I often wake up at about 4 also. What is is it about 4 AM? It' frustrating because I lay in the bed and feel tired, but can't sleep. Sometimes if I turn on the TV to some dumb sit com (think "the Beverly Hillbillies) I can drift back off to sleepy town. Good luck, and let me know if you find a cure.

Zan,sometimes I turn on the t.v.,too. But, about all I can find on in the "wee" hours is something like, Snakes on a Airplane !! I don't care for planes or snakes, together that is a nightmare. Maybe tonight I can sleep. Cheers

I have same problem as well, Leslie. And last night I was up at 2 AM, fell back asleep but woke up at 4 again, and finally just got up. And on frigid mornings like this morning, getting out of bed is not a fun thing to do.

Have a great day!

Hugs and blessings,

Renie

Renie, if I had known you were up ,too, I would have called you over for coffee. Chuckle, it was (one) degree at 4 this morning and I am still cold.
I am looking forward to Spring.
Hugs !!

So, it's the Sandman I need to be talking to. I have the same problem and would not have to nap during the day if I could just sleep a little later in the morning.

Leslie, I'm pleased to meet you and glad you stopped by my blog. I see you love Mr. Holland's Opus so you must read this post of mine (copy and paste link in your browser):

Sorry to hear you can't sleep maybe santa will surprise you. I'm the same way but I wake up at 6:00 and can't go back to sleep sometimes I'm up at to 5:00. Tuesday class got canceled cause of the icy roads. So I went in friday and I was the only one that showed up. It was fun though. Hope to see ya Dec. 30 for class. Andrea

Ah..sleep..what would we do without it. It restores the body, the mind and soul. However, lack of it....can be frustrating. Sometimes I have been known to get up and read blogs and go back to bed a little later when I feel sleepy and sleep a couple of hours then, but it's not the middle of winter here.

Hi Leslie-Merry Christmas to you. I'm so glad you got your "chemo angel" already...that is fantastic! Thanks for reaching out to someone. It will make a world of difference to them and their family. I'm glad I found the chemo angels site and could share it with others.

Blessings of joy to you and your family!
Joy to the World...Christ is Born!

xoxo,
Leslie

Oh No!! Mr Sandman didn't do his job? He needs a talking too. I'm up at 5.30am every morning like clockwork. Who knows why. Try to get some extra sleep Leslie or you can try warm milk that helps.

Merry Christmas to you
Love Liz
